Underground Pump Fitter

Scotford Fennessy is seeking experienced Underground Pump Fitters for a temporary-to-permanent opportunity with an owner-operator mine in the Goldfields and Pilbara.

What’s on Offer?

• $70.00 – $80.00 per hour + super (paid on all hours, based on experience)
• 8:6 or 2:2 FIFO roster (12-hour paid shifts)
• 3-month temp-to-perm opportunity
• Work with a reputable owner-operator
• Immediate start available

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Service and repair underground pumps 
• Preventative maintenance and repairs to fixed plant equipment, including:
  
  • Hydraulic circuits – fault finding, repairs, and schematic interpretation
  • Underground dewatering systems
  • Shaft, winder, and headframe maintenance
  • Gyratory crushers, conveyors, stackers
  • Bulk air chillers and surface ventilation fans
  • Fuel farm repairs, water cannons, ventilation doors
• Light boiler-making duties as required
• Follow instructions and complete tasks safely and efficiently

What You’ll Need

• Australian Recognised Trade Certificate
• Manual Australian Driver’s Licence (HR preferred)
• National Police Clearance (valid within 12 months)
• White Card (Mandatory)
• Confined Spaces & Working at Heights tickets (desirable)
• HRWL tickets (e.g., WP, LF, RG, DG) beneficial
• Minimum 1 year underground experience in a similar role
• Strong understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical & drug screen
• Subject to random drug & alcohol screening onsite
