Vice President – Geology

About the company:
Our client is the world’s fastest growing mining royalty company, having doubled revenue over the past 12 months to be a multi million dollar, NASDAQ and TSX listed company. Based in Toronto and with employees in North America and Australia, this is a small but high performing team. 

With 70% of their investment projects located in Western Australia, there is a need for expansion of the team into WA, with a significant cash investment available for this expansion.

Specialising in forgotten royalties 20-40 years old, the company have the world’s largest database of mining royalties at your fingertips. You will have high autonomy and a broad mandate in this role, with projects spanning any commodity in any country of your choosing.

Core Responsibilities:

• Source and evaluate royalty & streaming deals
• Geological assessment of prospective assets
• Evaluate ore bodies across gold, precious metals, and base metals
• Conduct due diligence and negotiate asset deals
• Identify value opportunities and risks
• Work with incomplete datasets and make informed inferences.

About you:

• 10-20 years experience in exploration or geology
• Strong resource estimation experience
• Exposure to multiple commodities
• Strong pattern recognition and flaw-identification skills
• International experience
• Highly motivated
• Due diligence experience
• Mergers and acquisitions experience is considered a bonus
• Strong technical and geological capability.
